80m CW Contest - 27th November 2024

Conditions for tonight's contest were good and the bands were quiet, and conditions were good for longer distance QSOs. Three people worked Greg W1KM. The provisional results are posted below. The overall winner was Sandi S57KM with Jaan SM0OEK second (both low power assisted). Third and the leading low power unassisted station was Allan SM5CSS. Fourth overall and leading high power station was Ruda OK2QA. The leading QRP station was Richard G4ZFE. Gordon MM2N and Mark EI6JK were the leading UK and EI stations. 92 logs were submitted which is the best for this season so far. We would like to welcome the new entrants (many from CWOps) and hope that you will join use again Many thanks to Tim EI2KA and Mark G4MEM for operating the bonus stations. In the Teams of 4 competition, the DDX Dream Team maintain their lead, with the EI Dream Team second, closely followed by the CW Junkies. Allan SM45CSS leads the cumulative 80m table, just ahead of Sandi S57KM. Third and top UK station is Brian GM4JYB, just ahead of Tim G8X. The top EI station is Aidan EI8CE in 9th place overall. The results will be finalized and the UBN reports will be sent out in the next day or so. The next 80m contest takes place is the SSB contest on Wednesday 1st January 2025, starting at 20:00utc.
