Thanks for entering the second UKEICC 80m CW contest of 2019. Conditions were good (for a change) and activity was even better, with a record number of entrants (95) - more than double the number when these events started four years ago. It's clear that the simple exchange format is popular, and attracts more and more entries from the continent. There were 5 QSOs logged with North America, represented by K1GQ and VE9OA. Congratulations once again to Allan SM5CSS, the overall winner, and leading LP (and unassisted) entrant. In this contest, it helps to be far away, but not too far away, from the UK (the centre of activity). Can anyone stop Allan making it a hat-trick by winning again in March? In the remaining unassisted sections, top places went to GM2V (HP) and YL3FW (QRP) For assisted, the winners were GM4Z (HP), S57KM (LP) and G6M (QRP). With the record number of entrants this time, we hope to break the 100 mark in the March CW contest - please join us again for the next 80m CW contest on 27 March. In the meantime, don't forget the 80m SSB event on 6 March. Please have fun, send in your log and encourage others to do the same - we have a significant number of regulars who don't submit their logs. Finally, the annual UK/EI DX Contest (CW) takes place on 23/24 March - rules here. We look forward to seeing you all then. 73 Paul EI5DI - Adjudicator
