80m SSB Contest - 4th January 2023

Thank you for taking part in our first 80m contest of 2023. Conditions were variable during the one hour, which always makes the contest a challenge. Congratulations to Iain GM0V (GM0OQV) for getting top spot, and working a lot of stations that others missed. "Well Done" also to S53M operated by Miha S51FB for the highest score from outside UK and EI. Unfortunately, our UK bonus station G5GEI had a technical fault which meant that no QSOs were made. However our Irish bonus station EI5G made 40 QSOs and was a good signal here in IO80. The next 80m contest will be CW on 25th January. We hope you can join us then. Gave up as I have S9+20 noise level on 80m even though I live in the country. -- 2M0YTN It was great fun, happy new year and thank you for the QSOs. -- DK5KK Happy New Year to all !!! -- DL3RAR Very few contest stations heard this time round, only 4 UK (one worked), no EI and two EU (one worked). -- EA6/GM3ZDH happy new year to all 73 Marty sd used for logging -- EI2IAB Bonus station -- EI5G Lots of deep qsb at times Used SD wrkd fb -- EI8CE forgottest was on so came on for the last 10 minutes, it was nice to be popular! -- G1A Nice start to the New Year... -- G3Q Inter G difficult,slow going throughout.HNY all. -- G3R Fun but not too busy! -- G3RWF Best QRB is 1397km for SM5CSS at JO89LS -- G4ERW Best QRB is 1581km for SO4P at KO03JS -- G4IRN Very enjoyable contest. QRP with uSDX SDR Transceiver kit 4 Watts output into 2x15m doublet. Great fun. 73s Jan -- G5BBL pleasant contest as usual some spreading signals sd worked well -- G6UBM Dipole antenna in a better location now. 200w out, and a good Rx noise level, but still I could not find G5GEI. -- G8X Best QRB is 1897km for CT1AOZ at IM59HD -- GM0V Happy New Year everyone.
