Provisional Results - 27th November 2019 - CW

A quiet band, good conditions, and some nice DX generated a near-record 95 logs submitted. Thanks to everyone who took part. Thanks also to 3B8M (op G0CKV) and VK9CZ (op GM3WOJ) - probably our first entrants from Africa and Oceania. Unfortunately, they both ended up with zero points after penalties due to timing and logging errors - and this indicates that it might be time for us to reconsider the extent of penalties currently applied. Congratulations to LY4ZZ, top scorer in Connected/Assisted (LP), to SM5CSS in Unconnected (LP), and to YL3FW (QRP) - subject to final adjudication. UKEICC 80m using 4 character QRA exchange 27/11/2019 Soapbox Comments There might just be a few more Indian Ocean participants if this contest was at a more civilized time such as in the evening in stead of after midnight :-) -- 3B8M QTH Luz -- CT7/G4BJM its always fun -- DL1ATZ Good fun as usual. -- DL4CF Ten Tec Omni VII, ant W3EDP, Bug Vibroplex original deluxe -- DL5CL Thank you - what a nice Contest vy 73 from Hamburg! Manuel -- DL9EBG No 80m antenna, so 100w to 3-el tribander! -- EI5DI Nice surprise to work VK9CZ thank Chris for the call -- EI5KF Lots of EU , band in good shape.Ground mounted 1/4 wave vertical worked well. Season greeting C U all in new Year de EI6JK Mark. -- EI6JK Good long skip and plenty of support from continental Europe! -- EI7GY Vy high local noise for first half of contest. -- EI8CE Good to hear mix of locator areas including outside EI and UK! -- G0ATR S9+5db noise makes life difficult. -- G3KAF Great evening so nice to have a band free of the usual local QRM and QRN.
