RESULTS - 3rd February 2016 - SSB

Thanks for entering the second SSB contest of 2016. Here near Inverness conditions were very noisy - the band was busy with contest QSOs, nets, data transmissions and QRN - I found it difficult to find a clear enough frequency. There was a good turn-out with 75 logfiles received. Congratulations to Leo UT2II on winning Overall and High Power, to Mark EI6JK on being the leading UK/EI entrant, to Bryn G3SWC on winning the Low Power section and to Steve M9A (G3ZVW) on winning the QRP section. Congratulations also to Dale 2W0ODS on entering his first contest! The log submission robot has a new feature - it is rejecting incorrect Cabrillo logfiles more enthusiastically than in the past. A common problem is the mode being wrong e.g. CW instead of PH. We are also still seeing entrants entering 0000 where no Grid / Locator has been received - this will lose them points - please leave the field blank or enter -- The next contest in the series is on 24th February on CW. 73 Chris GM3WOJ and Paul EI5DI - Adjudicators
