Thanks for taking part in the second last SSB contest of the 2017-18 series. Here near Inverness I found conditions good - I made 60 QSOs in the first half hour, but then things fizzled a bit and the QSO rate dropped. The band was very busy, with several nets, including one on 3736 that I tuned across when they were ranting at some unfortunate contesters :-( IMPORTANT MESSAGE : due to a clash with the CWops contests on the last Wednesday of this month and next month, we have decided to revert to the original timing i.e. 2000-2100z for the last three contests in this series. Sorry about any confusion. Please pass this info to your friends. As your adjudicator had the highest points score, the scoring of this event was cross-checked and verified by the other three adjudicators via our regular post-contest Skype conference call. Congratulations to Allan GM4Z (GM4ZUK) in second place Overall and the High Power section. Congratulations to Sandi S57KM in first place in the Low Power section, with Ed GM3C (GM0WED) in second place. Congratulations to Reg G3TDH as the winner (and only entrant this month) of the QRP section. UBN files have been sent out by e-mail. The Teams Competition remains closely fought - the draconian discipline imposed on the Pembrokeshire Contest Group team members is keeping them just ahead of the Dream Team! Next contest - 28th March - CW. The final three contests will be adjudicated by Paul, Tim and Stewart. More detailed Results tables will be added below in the next few days. We will be completely restructuring these webpages before the next contest season. Always enjoy it great programme even for the inexperien Good conditions but high local noise level -- EI7CD condx. improved in the second half -- EI7GY Going a bit slow -- EI8CE Hopefully this month's Cabrillo file will be accepted. Using N3FJP Stew-Perry template, had to edit band and mode on the fly..! Not great... -- EI8KF Plenty of activity and good band conditions -- G0WWD Noisy but busy band -- G2BKZ Intermittent audio so had to abandon contest. Tried 3 diff Mics. Still no proper solution. -- G3KAF Like drawing teeth with 5 Watts! Sheer masochism though propagation seemed good. -- G3TDH fair condx tonight. -- G3ZBU Just dishing out a few points! -- G4BEE My local qrm was extremley bad and I found conditions marginal. However enjoyed the evening and I even forgot I was not well! My computer locked up once but I think the log is ok. I used SD as usual. -- G4DDX Band good tonight, pleased to hear a few more continental stations joining in plus more EI heard than in the past few months. Thanks to all who called in. -- G4ZVB great always enjoy -- G5UM noisy band difficulty in resolving callsigns, some audio badly distortyed. Thanks to those who gave me points -- G6UBM Miles from home tonight as portable. If I cant enter under Stevenage ARS then pls treat this as a checklog -- G7CYQ/P Catastrophic Software failure after 20 mins, then paperlog whilst setting up N1MM!! Then fun combining two logs for one cabrillo file! -- G7HYS K3 + 100ft Doublet At 7m agl Some very good signals tonight even in the same square. -- G8FMC That was good fun. N1MM+ worked perfectly of course. -- G8X Conditions seemed to be better for the bulk of the contest tonight :) -- GI0AZB S&P only, had difficulty being heard fm down in deep valley at Norwegian QTH 60Km north of Oslo! Proper snow here 66cm!! -- LA/G3SWC Conditions good. Enjoyment marred by N1MM logger + crashes due to laptop updating continuously throughout after long shut-down. Apologies for dupes! -- M0DCG I ejoyed using SD Thank you -- M0HHG Homebased inefficient 40mEFHW on 80m. No CAT. Great fun very diverse.
