Results - 2nd October 2019 - SSB

*Finalised Results* Thanks for taking part in the second SSB contest of the 2019-20 80m contest series. Here near Inverness conditions were tough - lots of band noise, some weak signals and a lot of QRM from other stations. Things suddenly improved here with about 15 minutes to go which made a big difference. Tim G4FJK also ran our adjudication software after the contest and confirms these Results, as I managed to work enough stations to win. We welcomed some new contesters from Orkney this evening - Hamish 2M0URT, Glenn 2M0DES and Peter MM0AUP (with David MM5DWW and their mentor Ed GM0WED) We hope you all catch the 'contesting bug'! Congratulations to Graham G4FNL, thinly disguised as G4AQG, on winning the QRP Unassisted section, to Algirdas LY2BMX operating as LY4ZZ winning the LP Unassisted section, to Mark EI6JK winning HP Assisted and to Viv M0IEP (using the Swindon Club callsign G1P) winning LP Assisted. We had one submitted Cabrillo logfile, from an entrant who was at an alternative QTH, where the sent locator differed from what was actually sent, but we gave the station the benefit of the doubt and corrected it for them. Some UBN files have still to be e-mailed to entrants - pse QRX for a few days. If you are going to the RSGB Convention, quite a few members of the UKEICC team will the there, so please say 'hello' and tell us what you think of these UKEICC 80m Contests and the UK/EI DX Contests. 73 Chris GM3WOJ, Tim G4FJK - Adjudicators Next contest - 30th October - CW
