UKEICC 80m CW - 29th April 2026

The final UKEICC 80m contest of the 2025/26 season was a cracker with good activity (88 logs submitted) and mostly good conditions. Congratulations to Tadeusz SN1T, overall winner and high-power (assisted) entry. Winner in the low power category was Jan SO3O (assisted), and top QRP entry was Mike G3P (assisted) with an impressive 69 QSOs and a golden log. Special thanks go to Dave EI4BZ and Dean G4WQI for operating the bonus stations, with each working 80 stations. First place for the 2025/26 season in the League Tables (all modes) goes to Mark EI6JK with an individual score of 3547, followed by Sandi S57KM. For CW only, it was Allan SM5CSS in first place with 2100 points followed by Tadeusz SN1T. First place among QRP stations (all modes) was David G4ERW with 1422 points followed by Richard G4ZFE. For top SSB stations for the season, please see the comments preceding the 80m contest results on 1 April 2026. After a long battle in the Teams Competition, the DDX Dream Team finished the season in first place with a team total of 8669 points. Not far behind was the EI DReiAM Team with 8071 points. The CW Junkies team, operating CW only except for two contests, finished third with 6110 points. Congratulations to all who took part in our contests, and especially to category winners. Looking back on the UKEICC’s 2025/26 80m season, it hasn’t set records in terms of logs submitted, but we have seen many stations join us for the first time. Since the start of the season, we have seen a 72% increase in stations in our database from France, 24% more from Germany and Belgium, 20% from the Netherlands, and 18% more from Sweden. Even the UK and Ireland increased by 7% each. Operators seem to enjoy these hour-long contests and seeing provisional results a few minutes after the log submission deadline, and final results generally on the day after the contest. We now begin the UKEICC’s summer break. The UKEICC Team will be analysing our self-spotting experiment and are working on a few other ideas that are intended to keep our 80m contests challenging, fun and innovative. Please get in touch with team@ukeicc.com if you have ideas to make our contests better. We won’t agree with everything, but we value comments from our participants and respond to them always. We wish you a good summer and look forward to our next 80m contest on Wednesday, 2 September 2026. The UKEICC Team
